We are excited this year to be joined by our new Cantorial Intern, Sandy
Horowitz. A member of our Religious School faculty, Sandy is a fourth-year cantorial student at my alma mater, the Academy for Jewish Religion. We welcome Sandy and hear her beautiful voice on the bimah at various services throughout the year, tutoring in our B’nai Mitzvah classes, and working with our teen Music Teaching Assistants.

And on Shabbat Shirah, February 10, we presentated of our 2nd Biennial TBS Commissioned Composition written by Elliot Z. Levine, a composer whose works our choir has featured often over the years.
Calling all teens who like to sing
Open to all Jewish teens from 8th through 12th grades, HaZamir is the International Jewish High School Choir. HaZamir provides Jewish high school-age teens the unique opportunity to gather together, sing Jewish choral music, build community and connect culturally. Because HaZamir spans the denominations, it unites teens from throughout the spectrum of Jewish life and experience, reinforcing our Jewish commonality and enabling them to forge close bonds. Our regional HaZamir chapter meets once a week throughout the school year at Temple Israel Center in White Plains. For more information on how to join, contact Cantor Robin.
