A lively Yiddish song by Mikhl Gelbart celebrating the holiday of Purim. Arranged for choir by Mark Zuckerman. "Everyone have fun today on our Purim holiday. Urim-Burim-Gurim-Durim. Sing a little song of Purim! Giving gifts upon this date reminds us all to celebrate! So let's sing and let's be gay and whirl the groger all the day."

"Lord, Master of All Worlds." This powerful Aramaic poem of praise was written by Israel Najara (1555 - 1628), a resident of Gaza. It is presented here with a taqsim (slow musical introduction in free rhythm) played by our own Jim Keyes on mandolin and Alicia Svigals (of klezmer violin fame). Percussion accompaniment is by Raqui Danziger (incredible force on the New York percussion scene). Our tenor soloist is Michael Ingram. The melody is from the Moroccan Jewish community and was arranged for choir by Joshua Jacobson.

We included this traditional African-American spiritual in our 2011 concert program, Children of Abraham: A Concert of Three Faiths. Some pieces of music are meant to just wake us up, lead us to share the sacred experience. Our soloist is Susan Segall. Arrangement for choir is by Moses Hogan.
