Tikkun Olam - 8th to 12th Grade
Our teens have dinner, discussion, and a chance to make a difference in the world through our Tikkun Olam program. This program combines social action and socializing for our 8th through 12th grades. Meeting every Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., the 8th-9th grade and 10th-12th grade groups have dinner together and separate afterwards to talk about current topics, or work on various tzedakah projects.
Tikkun Olam is Hebrew for “repairing the world,” and in that spirit our groups take part in activities and events for organizations such as the Afya Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and Children’s Village. We also have an enormous amount of fun participating in our annual Kayak Tashlich on the Hudson, our Shul-in (overnight at the synagogue), and presenting our very own Purim shpiel to the congregation.
Open to members. Contact the Temple Office for more information.
