Jewish spiritual practice can help reduce stress, improve our relationships, and live more meaningful lives. In this seven session class we will be introducing students to some of these powerful Jewish prayers and practices through chant, deep text study, and lively discussion. Sessions will include:
Meditation, Tefillah (prayer), mindfulness, and embodied practices.
Esoteric interpretations of life cycle and year cycle rituals.
Mystical Torah study: We will learn a wide range of texts and stories, with a particular emphasis on Hasidic and other mystically-oriented texts and stories.
Middot: Character development exercises.
Mondays at 7:30 pm.
