Throughout the year the Temple is involved in Tzedakah activities that support a variety of local organizations with drives and fundraisers, as well as many opportunities to volunteer.
SHABBAT NON-PERISHABLE FOOD DRIVE
Donate non-perishable food to be distributed by the Hastings Youth Advocate’s Office to families in need throughout the Rivertowns.
JOIN US ON A MIDNIGHT RUN
Deliver food, clothing, toiletries and sleeping bags to designated locations in NYC. Friday Nights, August 31, October 26, December 28, February 22, April 26, June 28 and August 30
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Help “build houses and hope” for people in need. Monthly opportunity for adults and teens to volunteer. Monday, November 12
DOR L’DOR “Generation to Generation” - Senior Temple members volunteer to read with our Nursery School children and participate through Project SEED (Supporting Children’s Early Emotional Development) in a discussion group about the experience.
FAMILY-TO-FAMILY’S HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM Sign up to be a donor and provide an elderly Holocaust survivor with monthly groceries and personal care items.
FEEDING WESTCHESTER FOR YOM KIPPUR APPEAL
