GRADE 1

In Grade 1, students explore what makes a Jewish home - what unique objects can be found there, what Jewish rituals are specially done there, and what it means to make one.

Throughout the year, we celebrate Shabbat together in class and expand our knowledge of the Jewish holidays through stories, songs, art and drama. We also collect tzedakah each week and stress the importance of the mitzvah of reaching out to help the larger community. 

The first grade class learns Hebrew Through Movement with our HTM Specialist each week.

SHABBAT DINNER + SERVICE

The first grade class are special guests at our three annual Young Families Shabbat services: October 17, January 9, and April 10.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
