Gather

Community. Conversation. Connection.

WHY

The Jewish people love good ideas and good conversation.

What

Gather is an initiative of Temple Beth Shalom designed to meet these two human needs.

How

  • Become a part of a small group (12-15 people) who Gather once a month to share good food, good drinks, and good conversation. (We are aiming to form three groups total.)

  • No prior Jewish education required; no pre-reading necessary.

  • Topics will be variable, flexible, and responsive to the interests of the group: everything from the rise of antisemitism, to Talmudic views on cancel-culture, from the deeper meaning of Chanukah, to Israeli current events – or anything else we can dream up.

WHERE

We will Gather in the TBS library – and/or, if participants are open to hosting, in one another’s living rooms.
